A photo of the drum at the end of the shaft, or of the cable where it meets the bottom bracket, tells us a great deal. Send it along with a line about what happened.

2021 census · what it means at the door
33%Newer homes
About 33% of homes in Waterloo were built in 1980 or earlier, according to the 2021 Census.
Newer garages tend to have generous headroom and a finished ceiling, so options such as a jackshaft opener mounted beside the door, or a high-lift conversion for a car hoist, are practical. The technician checks the space and explains what would fit.
49%
Single-detached houses make up about 49% of homes in Waterloo (2021 Census).
Where housing types are mixed, some doors belong entirely to the homeowner and others are subject to a condo corporation's rules on colour and style. Before recommending a replacement door we ask who has a say, so the door chosen is one that can actually be installed.
